Project Planning
Project Planning

When delivering a project on time and on budget, it is imperative to have an effective Project Plan of what needs doing when and by who.

To all of those involved in delivering that project, the plan will provide detailed activities to minimize the risk in the delivery of the final product or service.

A plan will also have a resource structure to it, thus enabling the project manager to identify the labour required to discharge the work to be done and when that labour can efficiently be moved to the next project, thus reducing the risk of an overspend.

Project Gateway Reviews

A Project Gateway Review enables a decision to be made, defining if a project is ready to proceed to the next stage thus eliminating costly mistakes or progressing a stream of work which is already in difficulty.

The Management or the sponsors of a project will often ignore warning signs that the work is not living up to expectations, but will authorise the next stage to be progressed.

Gateway Reviews are designed to ‘get into the weeds’ and focus on the real issues and problems, thus enabling the project to enter the next stage with confidence that risks and issues have been addressed.
